Viewsonic VP930 - Wozu Installations CD?

Mein Viewsonic VP930 ist angekommen und ich frage mich, ob auf der CD was
nützliches darauf ist? Auf der Download-Seite finde ich keinen Treiber, ist
also keiner unter Windows notwendig? Ich frage speziell deswegen, weil ich
das Display unter Linux betreiben will und nur, falls nötig, mal unter XP
konfigurieren will.

Was sollte man also unbedingt mit der beigelegten Installations-CD machen?
